Slip-sliding away

There is no way to effectively affix a covering to the wrist and lower forearm without the application of some variety of tape to human skin. This is an issue, as whatever it is I'm allergic to in the yard seems to have gotten up close and personal this past weekend. Covering it keeps any residual contaminants in the affected area from spreading, and also reminds me not to scratch. It does not make it itch less. Hydrocortisone cream does, though "less" should not be mistaken for "enough".

If you're still having trouble with the itching, I've had some luck freezing the sensation. Use an ice cube, leave it on the itchiest spots for a minute or so. I don't know if it just numbs the nerve transmitters or what, but it does seem to help.
