Today is That Birthday, and while I'm still sick as a dog and will thus keep this brief, I am generally pleased.
Looking back on the whole half a century seems a bit much, and unlikely to be edifying. But in the past year, I have:
- finished my fourth novel
- run a successful convention
- made my second professional fiction sale
- traveled to England, Switzerland, and France
- petted my wonderful cats
That's not a bad template for the next half-century. :-)
