NaNo, Day 12 that was

I made it to par last night, though not to quota. Apparently I'm really bad at this giving up thing; no sooner had I said "screw it, I'll make it up tomorrow, I'm going to bed" than I buckled down, put the Pirates theme and Learning To Fly on repeat at full blast, and slammed out 400 words in half an hour. (Pretty sure they're crap words, or rather, very pretty words that don't need to be there and are probably wrecking the pacing. But for once, even I will worry about that later.)

That still meant going to bed at nearly 2 a.m., unfortunately. I woke this morning so light-headed that I'd be seriously tempted to take my cane to work if I could find it, just for the balance. According to the PSA on the car radio, I have three of the five signs of stroke, whee! Though in my case it's just sleep dep, and the lingering remnants of this bloody cold.

And tonight I get to do it all over again. Whee.
