A doubly-good day

Yesterday, I did All The Things. The day before, I finally got the bleepity-bleep medicine cabinet up in the bathroom, which has been waiting for... months, now.

Today, I was trapped in bed by a pair of cats until dinnertime. Today wins.

Yay on getting the cabinet up. (Clearly one of those kind of chores... you know, the ones that seem to get put off and put off and put off for forever. Probably worth a double or triple Yay.)

Yay also for cats.

(Not that I have cats, but that just means I must appreciate the joys of other people’s cats.). :)

It was indeed one of those chores. For extra irony, the medicine cabinet kicked off a whole bunch of "while I'm at it" tasks, like replacing the light fixture and recaulking the tub, which all took weeks, and when I finally got all of them done... the medicine cabinet was still waiting to go up. ;-P (I'm not going to admit to how long we had the other cabinet which this replaced, which never did get around to being put up, but it's measured in years.)

Sometimes I think my husband's totem animal must be a cat. He also purrs. :)

...I think we managed to get our recently remodeled bathroom put back together in only a year and a half.

We added a second door, which can be inconvenient, but only because we USE both doors. The second door opens into the 'back' part of the house, which used to be an attached two car garage, but had been converted to bedrooms. That part of the house had no bathroom. Now it does--my bathroom. It was a bit silly having six or seven people living in the house, and me practically having my own bathroom, while everyone else shared the other one. (Now that the kids are back in college, we're down to only four people in the house. But they'll be back.)
